On Thursday, 31st July 2025, the community of Wovoguma came alive with joy and celebration as we marked the successful graduation of 25 young people under the Youth Employment and Skills (YES) Project – Phase II.
This milestone was not only about certificates, but also about transforming young men and women from Gbalahi, Wovoguma, Wovogu, Gbrima, and Tamale, who proudly celebrated their journey of growth, hard work, and resilience.

Over the past months, these participants immersed themselves in practical and theoretical training across four life-changing skills areas in catering services, poultry rearing, shea butter production, and cosmetics production
From baking cakes and rearing chickens to processing shea butter and creating beauty products, they didn’t just gain skills, they discovered confidence, purpose, and the courage to take charge of their futures.

The ceremony brought together community leaders, trainers, parents, and stakeholders who have walked alongside these youth, offering mentorship and support. Their presence reminded us that real change is a shared responsibility, built on collaboration and community investment.
As graduates stepped forward to receive their certificates, the pride in their faces was matched only by the hope in their hearts. This was more than a graduation, it was a promise of new beginnings, sustainable livelihoods, and brighter futures.
